Head for the Hills runs free Introduction to Mountain Biking lessons for absolute beginners. We will teach you the basics, like bike setup, posture, gears and braking while riding on gravel roads and wide, gentle trails.

Topics Covered

The Introduction to Mountain Bike lessons are designed for people who are brand new to mountain biking and riding off-road. We focus on:

  • Setting up your bike correctly & specifically for you
  • Using gears & brakes correctly
  • Posture & body position
  • Increasing stability & confidence on the bike
  • Basic riding technique & tips

Please note:
Participants must be able to ride on two wheels to complete this program.
