Head for the Hills runs after school mountain bike skills programs for kids wanting to try mountain biking as well as those looking to develop their skills. Lessons are designed for kids aged 10 to 14 and offered South of the city, on the Craigburn Farm Shared-Use Trails, and North at Cobbler Creek Recreation Park. There are no pre-requisites for participants and the program is perfect for beginners, so long as they can ride confidently on two wheels.

We are currently taking registrations for the After School Mountain Bike Skills Program in Term 1, 2021. You can register below.
We are offering the program at two locations, Cobbler Creek Recreation Park (North) and Craigburn Farm Shared Use Trails (South). The Northern program will run on Wednesday afternoons while there two Southern options, running on either Tuesday or Thursday afternoons.
The After School MTB Skills program runs each term for approximately 7 – 9 weeks depending on term length. Groups will be arranged according to age, experience and skill level. The program focuses on the key skills of mountain biking and will develop the students:
Students will also learn about the non-practical aspects of mountain biking, including:
Balance skills learned at slow speed enhance control & accuracy on faster trails
