Head for the Hills is excited to announce a School Holiday MTB Skills Camp in the April School Holidays! Based in Belair, the three day camp for kids aged 10 – 14 will enable participants to develop their riding skills under the guidance of our experienced coaches. Participants will have the opportunity to ride in various locations around Adelaide and learn a range of skills both on and off the bike. The camp is focused on riders with an intermediate level of ability.
This exciting new program takes kids aged 10 to 14 on an epic three day Mountain Biking adventure and teaches them to ride safer, faster and with more control. Based at Nunyara Conference Centre in Belair, participants will be split into groups based on age, experience and ability. Our awesome accredited coaches will teach them skills such as body position, conquering obstacles, cornering and wheel lifts on both cross country and gravity based trails. After nailing skills and techniques, riders will get the opportunity to put them into practice while doing shuttle runs at Fox Creek Bike Park- where they get driven up the hills and just ride down! While on the program, riders will also be introduced to bike set up, some basic maintenance, participate in interactive goals sessions and play lots of team building games!
The camp includes:
- Two nights dorm-style accommodation at Nunyara
- Fully catered from Wednesday dinner to Friday morning-tea
- Transport to and from Fox Creek Bike Park
- Accredited coaches & instructors
This is an intermediate level camp and we assume that participants have some experience riding off road.
Bookings close April 15.
