Tyson is the founder, owner and senior coach at Head for the Hills Off Road Cycling.

“Having grown up on bikes my whole life, it only makes sense that riding has become my career. During the first 18 years of my life, whilst living in the Barossa Valley, I seemed to bounce between BMX bikes and motor bikes… That was until I got a mountain bike! I was hooked, and have since spent the last ten years of my life racing downhill in both State and National competitions.”

“There are no losers in the sport of Mountain Biking”

“Along with a few mates, I started managing the Adelaide Independent Racing team and we would do what we could to help promote downhill and encourage juniors to develop their skills. We started  running coaching clinics and after I gained my NCAS 1 accreditation, Head for the Hills was born!”

“We initially kept to the downhill racing scene and then branched out to help non-mountain bikers discover and experience the trails in Adelaide. Now we cater for young and old, locals and tourists, beginners and athletes. There is no better feeling than sharing mountain biking with others; there are no losers in the sport of mountain biking!”
