National Parks and Wildlife Service SA – Park of the Month

National Parks and Wildlife Service SA are showcasing Cobbler Creek Recreation Park in the Park of the Month program for May! To celebrate, we are offering mountain biking skills clinics on May 8.

Beginner MTB Skills Clinic

This clinic will teach participants bike handling & control skills in a 2 hour session led by Head for the Hills Coaches. The course will cover basic mountain biking techniques and include a guided ride so participants can put their new skills to use!

Recommended Age:9 – 13 years
Ability:Beginner

Date & Time: Sunday May 8, 9am – 11am
Recommended Age: 9 – 13 years
Cost: $20 per rider
Bike & Helmet Hire Available: $20 per session (Please contact us to arrange)

Topics Covered

The beginner clinic is designed for riders with little to no mountain biking experience. We will cover topics such as:

  • Balance & control skills
  • Correct body position
  • Braking techniques
  • Navigating small obstacles

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Riders must be able to ride on 2 wheels confidently to complete this clinic.
  • Participants who wish to use their own bike should ensure that their bike has gears, large diameter wheels (24″ or above) and is in good working order.
